Making the switch from Honda, Jonathan Rea opened his win account immediately at Phillip Island by pipping Leon Haslam and Aprilia by just 0.039s
Making a transition into green for 2015, Jonathan Rea had to fight hard to take his first win for Kawasaki at the majestic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. A race long battle between himself, Haslam and Ducati’s Chaz Davies raged, culminating in one of the most ferocious last laps in recent years. Toe-to-toe with nothing to split between them, Rea held on for victory, denying Haslam of his first for Aprilia and likewise Davies’ first for Ducati.
